With over 23 years in hospitality, Daniel James Edwards — known to most as Danny — has built a career defined by passion, creativity, and purpose.
A former National Young Chef of the Year finalist, Danny’s journey has seen him cook for Gordon Ramsay, the England National Football Team, Chelsea FC, and at Princess Diana’s childhood home, Althorp Estate. His time in Jersey, Channel Islands deepened his respect for local produce and provenance — values that remain at the heart of everything he creates today.
Danny’s culinary talent earned him a feature in The Great British Cookbook, where his Sloe Gin Jelly with Marshmallow Ice Cream was a celebrated recipe. Over two decades, he’s helped open six restaurant and hotel kitchens, alongside his own award-winning ventures — The Shed at Hilton and The Enterprising Chef.
Beyond the kitchen, Danny has become a voice for mental health and community connection, raising funds through his personal initiative The Big Man Walk — a 400-mile journey inspiring men to open up and seek support. His next chapter continues through “Warm Hands, Full Hearts”, a campaign powered by his Say Cheese Food Truck, providing warm food and conversation for those who need it most.
As Founder & Curator of The Larder Table, Danny brings together everything he’s learned — using food as a language of comfort, creativity, and care. His menus celebrate Midlands produce, real human stories, and the belief that shared tables create stronger communities.
And by his side, as always, is Elsie — his golden retriever and Chief Taste Tester — never far from the cheese. 🧀💛
